an excerpt from a live performance at the old london musicians collective building in camden town, london.

I went through a spell of playing solo, trying to break free from what I'd been doing previously. I got to the point where I was doing solo improvised voice only performances and then gradually started adding in elements of instrumentation and amplification. By the time I did this piece i was playing organ and clarinet and bongos, and utilising a cassette player with some prerecorded parts and an old copycat echo machine - that i manipulated to make loops with the aid of a knitting needle!
