but the Nazis used the gifts of this Jewish inventor
and Zyklon B was one of the inventions of Fritz Haber
who won the Nobel prize for contributions to agriculture

the air is mostly made up of inactive nitrogen
it's also part of us mixed up with elements like carbon
to be used by plants and animals it must first be joined to hydrogen
and how this could be done was changed in 1909

sometimes nitrogen is fixed to hydrogen by lightning
but mostly it's bacteria in roots that do this joining
so we use clover and manure to boost the yields of our growing
but with Habers nitrate fertilisers our yields are exploding

because he was overseeing gas attacks in world war 1
years later we had the agricultural revolution
pesticides were developed from gas warfare weapons

a stockpile of nitrate explosives in Alabama
after world war 2 were developed into fertilisers
exploding towns or exploding populations
